ISS is intrinsically linked with building the leadership potential of young learners by enhancing their skills and knowledge base. All sessions embed the ‘rooted and free’ ethos to help teenagers find the grounding and the freedom to explore and excel, not only academically but life in general. At the end of this academic fest, delegates go home with not only knowledge about diverse subjects but a renewed sense of self, a newfound purpose, appreciation for culture and a desire to learn more.
Each day of the summer school focuses on bringing out a specific facet of students’ personality. From taking the reins of the mind with yogic practices, to expressing the inner voice through creative outlets, and applying technical skills in different activities – every session catapults the cheer and fosters universal human values.
Every year, we grow, evolve, and come closer to understanding the young generation better and supporting them to become the leaders our world needs. Indic Summer School (ISS) was earlier known as Indic Summer Fest (ISF) and Indic Teen Fest (ITF).
India’s first-ever teen convention was organized at Gateway Education at its Sonipat campus. The fest included sessions by over 30 accomplished masters of different fields, opportunities to showcase unique talents, and a wide array of workshops related to music, cooking, art, journalism, science, and history, among other activities.
The second edition of ITF was as grand as the first one. Inaugurated by Indian actor Rana Daggubati, the festival saw over hundreds of teen participants and over 50 experts engaging in career guidance and self-development sessions, activities on ecological thinking and holistic growth, outdoor exercises, fun-filled dance nights, and talent shows.
Indic Summer Fest 2022 was a space created for fun & learning together in the form of a residential festival that was organized at Rishihood university campus for 13 to 19 year– old students. The festival aimed to take school students beyond the four walls of their homes and classrooms and allowed them to closely experience the self and society.
The entire five days nurtured the attributes of jigyasa (curiosity), chikirsha (readiness to act), and ananda (joy) with the focus on creating Rooted and Free leaders.
Indic Winter Fest 2022 was a specially curated 3- day residential fest under the brand of Indic Summer Fest that happened in the month of November 2022. For this fest we hosted our first international cohort for such an event- around 50 teens from Nepal with an agenda to explore education in India and to understand the culture of Bharat.
